Staff Promotions at Denny Civic Solutions Promise Innovative New Services
Multiple promotions and role expansions at Denny Civic Solutions break the traditional barriers of grassroots advocacy and legislative outreach in the new virtual workforce.
PITTSBURGH: Denny Civic Solutions, a Pittsburgh-based civic campaign and advocacy firm, is proud to announce multiple promotions and role expansions taking effect with the new year. The company has adapted and expanded its services over the previous year, creating new opportunities and responsibilities for the Denny Civic Solutions team.
Charlie Lotz has been promoted to Vice President and COO of the company, overseeing both internal and external operations with staff and clients. In addition to his previous role leading coalition development and management, client relations, and project management, Charlie will now formally supervise daily operations of DCS, expand his business development role, and oversee the implementation of DCS’ ongoing strategic plans. It is a natural transition for Charlie, who has been with Denny Civic Solutions for 8 years and has been instrumental in providing leading services to clients in the fields of government relations, legislative outreach, digital advocacy, and campaign strategy development. Charlie also currently leads the #StrongMomStrongBaby campaign to ensure mothers experiencing postpartum depression get the help they need. He also works on several other campaigns, including the Family Care Act Campaign and Draw The Lines redistricting effort. A graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh’s Leadership Development Initiative, Charlie also volunteers as a middle school math tutor and serves on the board of Silver Eye Center for Photography.
Cassie Rusnak has taken on the new position of Director of Creative Content and Communications, overseeing the creation of all digital and physical content, as well as associated messaging, for Denny Civic Solutions and its clients. Cassie has over a decade of experience developing creative and strategic digital content for organizations, with a focus on creating content to grow online communities and drive supporters to take action. During her 2 years with Denny Civic Solutions, Cassie has worked to find creative solutions to share strategic messages through social media campaigns, digital marketing services, paid and earned media outreach, and innovative digital content design for clients. Cassie has managed several digital awareness days for clients, including the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Race and Social Problems, and the Committee of 70’s Open Primary PA day.
Anna Havrilla is Denny Civic Solutions’ new Manager of Online Engagement and Strategy, taking on new responsibilities to create effective and engaging digital campaigns for clients. Anna is well-versed in this new role, with experience managing grassroots advocacy campaigns, digital events, social media channels, and email marketing for client campaigns. In the past year, Anna organized and managed multiple Digital Advocacy Day events for the Children’s Aid Society Foundation and the Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank, successfully increasing both grassroots supporters and online engagement for the host organizations. In her new role, Anna will continue to grow the online engagement and influence of Denny Civic Solutions clients.
“Our team has done a great job growing our overall services while also taking on new responsibilities and challenges over the past year,” says John Denny, Founder and President of Denny Civic Solutions. “Charlie, Anna, and Cassie are committed to finding new and innovative ways to serve our clients and help them reach their goals, and I know they will succeed in their new roles.”
