These Are A Few of Our Favorite (Pre-Quarantine) Things
Don't worry, we feel it too.
Much like our state and local community, we at Denny Civic Solutions have felt the continued effects of the ongoing and constantly changing public health crisis. Despite our best efforts to stay connected and to interact with one another, as well as our clients, video conferencing only fills so much of the day-to-day interaction we all desperately crave. As such, we have decided to have a little fun and to think about some of our favorite things - and to urge you to take a moment and ponder the places, faces, and things that made you smile before this crisis and will bring you joy after this chaotic chapter has closed.
For John, his favorites are all staples of home in the ‘Burgh:
Giant Eagle Sheet Cake
Eat ‘ n Park breakfasts
Sunday afternoons in section 525, row C, seat 25 of Heinz Field!
While Charlie may hail from Kentucky, it's local food he is most looking forward to:
The sliced pork belly at Chengdu Gourmet
White pizza from Spak Brothers
Coconut milk vermicelli noodles from Tram's Kitchen
Cassie's favorites are pre-quarantine Friday night staples:
Roller coaster hopping at Cedar Point
Catching an indie rock show at Spirit
Watching wheelies at a Monster Truck rally
Anna remembers the places brewing near and.. not-so-near:
Wynkoop Brewing Company in Denver
New Belgium Brewery in Asheville
Wayward Owl Brewing Company in New Orleans
While we may not see these places, dishes, spaces, or brews anytime soon, it is comforting to know they're out there, waiting for us all to return. We welcome you to spend some time thinking about things that made your days bright before quarantine, too. After all, we are all in this together - and we can not wait to change the world together again.
Stay safe out there, folks!
